Before earning his Juris Doctor in 2012 from the University of Saskatchewan, Evan Gauthier Clemence was recipient of the University of Toronto's Anne Marjorie Beer Scholarship and the High North Scholarship allowing him to pursue legal studies in the area of human rights and indigenous peoples' rights in Tromsø Norway. Evan is former vice-chair of both the Comité des Langues Officielles, and the Sole, Small Firm and General Practice Divisions of the Ontario Bar Association as well as a member of the Executive with COFORD (Conseil des Organismes Francophones de la Région de Durham). In his spare time Evan hosts a jazz radio program on Choq FM a francophone radio station in Toronto and enjoys outdoor activities.
