When a couple goes through a divorce, one of the most difficult things to deal with is matters related to their children. While most people are able to work out a schedule that both parents are comfortable with, this isn't always the case.
According to an Ottawa woman, her former husband abducted her four children and took them to Iran. At this point, the woman is lost and looking for answers, hoping that the Prime Minister will step in and provide some assistance.
She said the following:
"I need Prime Minister Trudeau to make good on his word and to take strong leadership. Now. My children can't rescue themselves."
This is a difficult position, as she is now relying on the government to help bring her children home.
On June 12th, the man was detained in Iran on an Interpol Red Notice issued by Canada. However, he was later released on bail with mobility restrictions in place.
The mother of the four children has concerns about their safety, being that Iran forces and Kurdish groups continue to faceoff in many parts of the country.
Making things even worse is the fact that the woman does not know much about her children's whereabouts. The only thing she does know is that they are likely located in Chestermere, which is in Northern Iraq.
It is this type of story that shows just how bad things can become when a couple divorces and is unable to cooperate as they raise their children. When this happens, tense situations can arise for all parties involved.
